What we collect

Seeing your price needs no personal information. To prepare and submit an application, we collect contact details (name, email, phone, address), basic rating information (date of birth, sex, tobacco use, coverage amount and term), and — only if you choose to apply — application information including health pre-screening answers, beneficiary details, occupation and income, your phone-interview preferences, and your electronic signature and consent.

How we use it

We use your information solely to provide quotes, prepare and submit an insurance application to the insurer you select, schedule any required underwriting interview, and administer the resulting coverage. A licensed advisor reviews and submits your application on your behalf. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it except with the insurer(s) needed to process your application and service providers that help us operate securely.

How it’s protected

Application and health information is transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored in a secure system with restricted access. It is never sent or stored in plain, unsecured email. We retain your information only as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal and regulatory requirements, then securely dispose of it.

Your consent & rights (PIPEDA)

By submitting an application you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal and health information for the purposes above, under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial law. You may withdraw consent, or ask to access or correct your information, at any time by contacting us — subject to legal and contractual limits.
